MMA training resumed

I've been a huge fan of the martial arts for as long as I can remember. I've studied traditional tae kwon do since the age of 15, as well as cross-trained in other forms and weapons styles.

Last year, I got hooked up with some guys from work who were training in jiu jitsu and muay thai. They asked me to join their group because of what I had to offer with regard to my training. I trained with them until I sprained my ankle in a practice last summer, and had to sit out.

Now, I'm back from school, my ankle is rested up, and I've resumed my training. My little brother is now a part of the team, and my stepdad is the business manager. They went to a tournament in Des Moines last weekend, and apparently the team did very well for themselves.

We've got a grappling tournament coming up at the end of August and it looks like I'll be getting ready for that. I'll be sure to include pics from practice, the tournaments, and the like.

UFC 86

I love the martial arts, and the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) is every martial artists dream come true. Tonight on Pay Per View, UFC 86 was fought. I'll post more later on this subject, but for now, go here to see tonight's results.
